RAI Destination Services Consultants
RAI has experienced great success with destination services consultants of diverse backgrounds. Many of them have personal relocation experience, have lived or traveled in foreign countries, and/or have foreign language ability. Most are degreed professionals; many are entrepreneurs, stay-at-home parents, or energetic retirees. They are all sensitive to cultural differences, empathetic to individual situations, and eager to welcome individuals and families to their communities.

Screening and Selection
The RAI recruitment process includes open advertisement on the Internet, in newspapers, and in publications of related organizations as well as word of mouth referrals. RAI’s Supplier Relations Department uses a three-step screening process that allows for factoring all areas of professional, educational, and personal experience to ensure best fit.

Security
RAI conducts background checks on all new consultants’ criminal and driving records.

Training
RAI’s consultant training process centers on the sharing of best practices and lessons learned, capitalizing on RAI’s experienced staff and high consultant retention. The Supplier Relations Department conducts new consultant trainings as well as client and component specific modules. These trainings are modified according to the changing needs of the organization, consultants, clients, and assignees. Appropriate supporting materials, including worksheets, charts, scripts, and process flow maps, are integrated in the training modules. Because RAI recognizes the importance of hands-on training, new consultants shadow experienced colleagues before the new consultants takes the lead.

Team Communication Tools
RAI’s intranet, named REACT, expands RAI’s capacity for consistent communication. REACT features training materials, newsletters, calendars, supplies, assignment management and billing capabilities, contact information and announcements. Consultants also interact with RAI management and each other through regular meetings, team conference calls, and an international consultant newsletter.
